Lincoln Loud, the middle child and only son of Lynn Loud Sr. and Rita Loud, spends his time assisting his sisters—Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa—as they go about their day-to-day duties, while also teaching his youngest sister Lily how to cope with living in a large family. After a particularly successful day in which the sisters all win awards, they celebrate at Lynn Sr.'s restaurant.

Afterward, the Louds sail off for home, waving goodbye to the citizens and their ghostly ancestors at the dock. Shortly after they've left, Bobby arrives in Loch Loud via submarine, but is dismayed to learn that he just missed seeing Lori. As the Louds enter the Scottish town, they find the place is full of oddities, like a door built much higher than the sidewalk, the signs being too jumbled to be comprehended, and a small bell being used in the bell tower.

As Lincoln and Lily brace for impact, Lela swiftly catches them (on her back) and Morag (with her claws) and flies them back to the courtyard. As she cleans, she begins to lament to a portrait of her ancestor, Aggie, who was responsible for driving the Louds' ancestors away 400 years ago in order to achieve peace and quiet. As Morag continues to suffer from the kids' shenanigans (while also reminding herself it's only for one week), Lincoln announces to Angus his plans on becoming the duke. However, Morag ruins the moment by revealing that Lincoln is only staying in Scotland for a week, causing the citizens to believe they celebrated with a tourist and not a permanent resident. At Angus' suggestion, Lincoln tries to convince his family that they should move to Scotland.

Live-action series

Wanting to become the new Duke of Loch Loud, Lincoln partakes in many community service events to help restore the village to its former glory and eventually guilt-trips the rest of the family into moving to Scotland forever because they no longer have to share one bathroom. An ardent fan of all thriller movies, classic and contemporary, Sounak chose the keyboard over the proverbial pen to express himself. A master's degree in Literature and a library full of books helped him a lot in doing so. Before ComingSoon, he clattered away on his keyboard, toiling for edutech and fintech companies. Crime documentaries keep him up at night (in a good way), and he has watched enough to plot the perfect crime.

During dinnertime, Lily feeds some burritos to Lela, and finds that she gets bigger whenever she eats. Later that night, Lucy, trying to contact her deceased ancestors, successfully summons the ghost of the ancestor she resembles, Lucille. Fans of "The Loud House" were able to watch a sneak peek of this rollicking story thanks to a teaser trailer Netflix released back in April (available via YouTube).

Morag, eavesdropping on the conversation, overhears Lincoln saying that, now that he's the duke, he no longer feels overshadowed by his sisters. After keeping Aggie's journal hidden when Lucy and Lucille ask her about it, Morag suggests to Luna that that she and her other sisters should present their talents to the citizens of Loch Loud so they can let their true selves be known to the public. When Angus reminds him that doing his royal duties will make the people happy, as they've been waiting for 400 years for a new duke, Lincoln agrees to help out.

Back at the castle, Lucille informs Lucy that Morag was actually lying about the royal family getting lost. Through a flashback, Lucille reveals that she and her family were actually coming home from a trip, but were forced into exile when their pet dragon, Lolo, suddenly turned against them and forced Lucille's brother, the Duke, to give up his crown. When Lucy questions why that happened, Lucille believes they might find out from the journal belonging to her family's caretaker and Morag's ancestor, Aggie. However, it is then revealed that Aggie's journal is in the hole that Morag is currently digging up.

Rita remarks that her ancestors came from Royal Woods, but Lynn Sr. remarks that he doesn't know where his came from. Lincoln further explains that if they find out, they can take a trip there and learn more about their ancestors. Lisa offers to find out, and, after sending Lynn Sr. through a series of dizzying experiments, does a DNA test using some of his saliva.
